Prayers this week

We had a very exciting and exhausting weekend.  Andrew and his friends had a great time at the BP MS 150 and most importantly they were all safe.  Cycling can be dangerous and I've heard of so many accidents, that I am always a little worried when Andrew rides.  The girls and I met him in Austin after the ride.  Unfortunately we did not make it in time to see him finish.  We made it to Austin, but Olivia had an "I'm tired/hungry/I don't know what I want" meltdown, so we didn't make it down to the finish line until after Andrew finished.  I am very thankful for a fun, safe and exhausting weekend.

Here are my prayers for this week:

Prayers this week:
  • Continuing to pray for discipline with my evening/morning routines.  I have not had much progress with this.  I usually have one good night/morning and then 3 bad ones.  Praying that tonight and tomorrow morning are better.
  • Continuing to pray for more motivation/energy with my workouts.  I mapped out my street yesterday and found out that I can do one lap of my cul-de-sac and it is nearly a mile.  I am hoping to get my butt out of bed early and do 3 laps a few mornings a week with Cooper.
  • Still continuing to pray for wisdom and understanding regarding Olivia's feeding/sleeping schedule.  Since we got back in town from Austin she hasn't slept through the night.  Her schedule is just a little off.  Hoping to get it down better today.
  • Continuing to pray for the people impacted by the Boston Marathon bombings.
  • Praying for Andrew's family and some personal issues several family members are dealing with at this time.
  • Praying for Andrew and I to make wise financial decisions.  We have some large unbudgeted expenses coming up and we're trying to assess how to best handle them.  We have to replace our fence ASAP as it is falling down.  I was hoping to wait until the fall to do this after we get Andrew's bonus check.  We're also planning a trip to CA this summer to visit Andrew's sister and take the girls to Disneyland.
Verse(s) I am meditating on this week:
  • "Train a child in the way (s)he should go, and when (s)he is old (s)he will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6 (NIV 1984) - This is a constant prayer of mine.
  • "Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions." 1 John 3:18 (NLT)
